The director is seeing the applicants^{1 this morning．}

今天早上主任要見那些求職的人。

I am seeing my solicitor^{2 tomorrow．}

我明天要見我的律師。（參見第202節(jié)。）

see可以指訪問，一般指旅游者而言：

Tom is seeing the town／the sights．

湯姆正在這座城市觀光／觀光各處景點(diǎn)。

see about（= make arrangements／enquiries安排，查看）：

We are seeing about a work permit for you．

see to（=arrange，put right， deal with安排，維修，處置）：

The plumber^{3 is here． He is seeing to the leak in our tank．}

see somebody out（= escort him／her to the door送他／她到門口）

see somebody home （=escort him／her home送他／她回家）

B hear 如指正式地聽取投訴／證言等時(shí)，也可用進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)：

The court is hearing evidence this afternoon．

法庭今天下午聽取證詞。

意指聽到消息或信件的hear只有在目前完成時(shí)及一般以后時(shí)中才可以用進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)：

Ive been hearing all about your accident．

我一直在聽人說你出事故的詳情。

Youll be hearing about the new scheme at our next meeting．
